Owners have until Jan. 8 to license short-term rental properties in Scottsdale
City ordinance requires short-term/vacation rental property owners/operators to obtain a Scottsdale license for each property. Owners must obtain licenses by Jan. 8, 2023, however, as of Dec. 14, only 530 of an estimated 5,000 properties in Scottsdale have applied for or received their Scottsdale license.

The City of Scottsdale and its Police Department are seeking public comment for Ordinance # 4577 amending Scottsdale Revised Code Sections 17-108 and 17-129 and adding Scottsdale Revised Code Section 17-130 relating to towing from public property by the City.

Thank you for visiting the City of Scottsdale Police Department website. I am honored to serve alongside the men and women of the Scottsdale Police Department. We have a dedicated group of sworn officers, civilian employees and volunteers committed to safeguarding the lives and property of the Scottsdale community.  Their commitment to accountability in the delivery of police services to the citizens that live, work and visit our city has continually resulted in Scottsdale being recognized as one of America’s safest cities.

Our Police Department, in partnership with the citizens of Scottsdale, recognizes the changing needs of our community and law enforcement’s role in addressing those needs. Furthermore, we pledge Excellence, Initiative and Integrity to enhance the quality of life throughout our City knowing those we serve deserve no less.
