Overview
Volunteering with the Scottsdale Police Department will be interesting and rewarding for you, and helps the department focus on its core missions.
All applicants are required to submit a volunteer application for consideration. Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of a position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include an interview. Final selection is contingent upon a background check which includes a criminal background screening. Successful candidates will also be required to submit to a drug test.
Some of the things our volunteers help with include:
- Administrative work
- Monitoring special equipment
- Assisting with training activities
- Specialized assistance with investigations, records, budget and support services
- Fleet/transporting vehicles
