AVOID SCAMS - Fraud Prevention and Payment Security
The Court will never request or accept payment through text message links, payment applications, gift cards, wire transfers, or any method other than in‑person payment at the courthouse or through the Courts official website.
- In certain circumstances, individuals may post bond by phone or pay fines online; however, this must be initiated only by contacting the Court’s official main telephone number or by accessing the Court’s official website.
- Do not rely on any phone number, website link, or contact information provided in an unsolicited message.
- Scams can be reported to the Scottsdale Police Department.
The Court utilizes text message notifications to provide timely and efficient communication regarding case-related matters. Scottsdale City Court sends texts for the following reasons:
- You have an upcoming court date. Reminder notifications are sent 7 days, 3 days, and/or 1 day prior to your scheduled appearance.
- You did not appear for a scheduled court date and may still have the opportunity to address the matter before a warrant is issued or a default judgment is entered.
- You failed to appear for a scheduled court date and/or did not resolve the matter within the permitted timeframe, and a warrant has been issued and/or a default has been assessed.
