Scottsdale Family Resource Center
In its response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Scottsdale Family Resource Center (SFRC) is offering virtual workshops and has postponed in-person parenting activities. Staff is available at 480-312-0038.
The city continues to serve the public throughout situations like the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and isclosely tracking the situation to ensure that city staff and the public are protected.
The Scottsdale Family Resource Center provides a variety of services free of charge to support families, parents, caregivers, expectant parents and their young children ages birth through age five (not yet in kindergarten).
Located in South Scottsdale at the Paiute Neighborhood Center, the Family Resource Center offers guidance and support for families with young children by providing access to resources, referrals to support services, and educational programs to ensure healthy growth and development for Scottsdale’s youngest learners and their families as they grow and thrive together.

Events & Programs
Family Play Time
This is a weekly free program for parents and caregivers that provides an opportunity to explore and play with your child (ages infant – Pre-K) in a safe, indoor, open play area. We provide developmentally appropriate furniture, materials, and hands-on activities.
Class sizes are limited to 5 families per session (1 adult with 1-2 children/no school aged children permitted due to limited space). Please note that pre-registration is required. Call the Scottsdale Family Resource Center at 480-312-0038 to register and reserve a seat.

Community Forum: Immigration (Virtual in Spanish)"
Karina Ruiz de Díaz, Executive Director of the Arizona Dream Act Coalition (ADAC), will present current information about immigration laws and policies, eligibility for DACA, and resources available. Raising a Reader® (Virtual in Spanish)
This engaging series includes 4 workshops which includes a free Raising a Reader® library book bag with 8 award-winning children's books. This program contributes to healthy brain development, family bonding, and increased early literacy skills, all critical for your child’s future success in school.

Emergency Diaper Assistance
Emergency assistance to Scottsdale families that need diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food is available while supplies last to qualified families. Contact the Scottsdale Family Resource Center at 480-312-0038 or ScottsdaleFamilyResourceCenter@ScottsdaleAZ.gov.
Car Seats
The Scottsdale Family Resource Center offers car seat inspections by appointment. A certified technician will inspect your car seat and show you how to install it. A limited number of car seats are available free of charge for Scottsdale residents that meet income guidelines. Call 480-312-0038 to make an appointment.
Parent Advisory Committee
The Scottsdale Family Resource Center Parent Advisory Committee is made up of parents and caregivers of the SFRC community to provide support to the Scottsdale Family Resource Center in its mission of supporting families to build a strong and vibrant parent and caregiver community. The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meets monthly and provides input to the Scottsdale Family Resource Center on designing programs and services that meet the needs of families in Scottsdale.

Donations of NEW baby items for Scottsdale families may be made by contacting the Scottsdale Family Resource Center at 480-312-0038 or ScottsdaleFamilyResourceCenter@ScottsdaleAZ.gov. Needed items include:
- new unopened diapers and wipes
- new unopened containers of formula and baby food
- new car seats
