Scottsdale Family Resource Center

The Scottsdale Family Resource Center provides a variety of services to support families, parents, caregivers, expectant parents and their young children ages birth through age five (not yet in kindergarten).

Located in South Scottsdale at the Paiute Neighborhood Center, the Family Resource Center offers guidance and support for families with young children by providing access to resources, referrals to support services, and access to educational programs to ensure healthy growth and development for Scottsdale’s youngest learners and their families as they grow and thrive together.

Let's Get Messy!

An outdoor activity for 0-5 year-old children and their parents/caregivers. Join us for a fun time of play and activities that engage your child's senses while you enjoy getting messy together. This fun activity will be offered once a month beginning in September.

Stay and Play

Interactive, play-based learning for children up to 5 years of age and their parents/caregivers. Each session features local professionals covering a variety of early childhood topics. Stay and Play Weekly Experts include: Early Literacy Specialist, Nutritionist, Choosing Quality Child Care, Child Development Specialist, Local Resources for Parents and Caregivers, Water and Car Seat Safety.

Length: 90 min
Class size: limit 20 children
Class Duration: weekly drop-in
Dates and Times: Thursdays 10 - 11:30 a.m.

Books Can

Books a unique program based on Arizona's Infant & Toddler Guidelines and Arizona's Early Learning Standards that uses popular picture books, rhymes, songs and interactive activities to promote children's social and emotional development.

Class size: limit 15 children
Class Duration: 6 week series

Fun with Math and Science

Explore math and science concepts in an interactive, playful way! Based on the Arizona Early Learning standards for math and science, this course explores concepts and introduces strategies to use with your child to help build and strengthen their mathematical and scientific thinking skills.


Ages: 3 – 5
Length: 45-60 min
Class size: limit 20 children
Class Duration: 6 week series
Dates and Times: This class will be offered in Fall 2018

Kinder Prep B

Kinder Prep B is a pre-literacy workshop with a focus on the skills needed for entrance into kindergarten in language and literacy; social competence and social-emotional growth; and pre-math literacy. These highly interactive sessions are for children 3-5 years old and their parents/caregivers.


A parenting support group for parents/caregivers of children 0-5 years old with the goal of connecting with others, learning parenting strategies, sharing ideas, building a supportive community, and having fun.

Creative Corner

Creative Corner presents fun, interactive activities for children 0-5 years old and their parents/caregivers. Participants can enjoy various creative activities every week.

Thursdays from 10 - 11 a.m. beginning July 6.
