Scottsdale Family Resource Center

The Scottsdale Family Resource Center provides a variety of services to support families, parents, caregivers, expectant parents and their young children ages birth through age five (not yet in kindergarten).

Located in South Scottsdale at the Paiute Neighborhood Center, the Family Resource Center offers guidance and support for families with young children by providing access to resources, referrals to support services, and access to educational programs to ensure healthy growth and development for Scottsdale’s youngest learners and their families as they grow and thrive together.

Books Can...©

Books Can...© is a unique program based on Arizona's Infant & Toddler Guidelines and Arizona's Early Learning Standards that uses popular picture books, rhymes, songs and interactive activities to promote children's social and emotional development.


Ages: 0 – 3
Length: 45 min
Class size: limit 15 children
Class Duration: 6 week series
Dates and Times: This class will be offered in Fall 2018

Creative Corner

Creative Corner presents fun, interactive activities for children 0-5 years old and their parents/caregivers. Participants can enjoy a different activity each week including music, water play, painting, movement, story time and more!

Developmental Music Therapy: Melodies for Us

Higher Octave Healing presents a musical adventure! Enjoy quality time with your baby, toddler or preschooler as you strengthen core skills in a musical and sensory-filled environment. Melodies uses imagination, creativity and a sense of wonder to introduce little ones to music. Come join us for bonding and play while you help your child learn and experience music!

Class Duration: 6-week series

Fun with Math and Science

Explore math and science concepts in an interactive, playful way! Based on the Arizona Early Learning standards for math and science, this course explores concepts and introduces strategies to use with your child to help build and strengthen their mathematical and scientific thinking skills.

Let's Get Messy!

An outdoor activity for 0-5 year-old children and their parents and caregivers. Join in on a fun time of play and activities that engage your child's senses while you enjoy getting messy together. This fun activity is offered on the second Saturday of the month, October through May, at various Scottsdale parks. Registration is not required.


Date and Time: Saturday, Oct. 13, 9 - 11 a.m.
Location: Vista del Camino Park, 7700 E. Roosevelt St. 

Stay and Play

Interactive, play-based learning for children up to 5 years of age and their parents/caregivers. Each session features local professionals covering a variety of early childhood topics. Stay and Play Weekly Experts include: Early Literacy Specialist, Nutritionist, Choosing Quality Child Care, Child Development Specialist, Local Resources for Parents and Caregivers, Water and Car Seat Safety.


Ages: 0 – 5 Length: 90 min Class size: limit 20 children
Class Duration: weekly drop-in Dates and Times: Thursdays 10 - 11:30 a.m.

Support Group: Cafecito in English

A parenting support group for parents and caregivers of children 0-5 years-old with the goal of connecting with others, learning parenting strategies, sharing ideas, building a supportive community, and having fun. For more information contact Rosita Pinedo at 480-312-7561.
