Scottsdale Transit System

Scottsdale’s transit system offers a variety of services to meet the needs of residents and visitors traveling across town or across the Valley. The Scottsdale Trolley offers 3 fare-free fixed routes and connections to 9 regional-fare bus routes. Scottsdale’s paratransit services offer a variety of alternatives including CAB Connection, Valley Metro’s Paratransit Service, and Ride Choice.

Scottsdale Trolley Services

Scottsdale's trolley system connects riders to entertainment, shopping, dining, schools, parks, libraries, community centers and more. The trolley offers three fixed routes with connections to Valley Metro Transit and the Tempe Orbit.

  • Trolleys operate Monday – Friday from 5:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Paratransit Services

Scottsdale and Valley Metro are committed to providing passengers with safe, convenient, and comfortable transit services that are accessible and usable by seniors and people with disabilities. Paratransit services include public transit and door-to-door or curb-to-curb options.

CAB Connection

CAB Connection is a unique taxi voucher program for Scottsdale seniors and people with disabilities. The program offers residents more flexibility and greater independence at an affordable price. Participants receive up to 20 one-way vouchers per month to apply towards cab fare. The vouchers are subsidized by the city and cover 80 percent of a one-way trip up to a maximum of $10. Participants are responsible for the remaining trip cost and driver tip. To qualify for CAB Connection vouchers you must be a Scottsdale resident age 65 or older, certified as disabled through the Valley Metro Mobility Center. In some cases CAB Connection vouchers may be available for individuals with a temporary disability. Active drivers can apply for CAB Connection vouchers and the program is not subject to income requirements. For more information about CAB Connection, email [email protected].

Valley Metro RideChoice Program

Valley Metro's RideChoice program provides access to Lyft, Uber, taxi and wheelchair accessible vehicles for Scottsdale residents who are ADA paratransit certified. Eligible participants call for a pickup at any time, and they are not required to share rides. Participants can take up to 20 trips per month; those using the service for transportation to work, school or medical appointments may be eligible for additional monthly trips. Valley Metro ADA Paratransit Service

Valley Metro's ADA Paratransit Service (formally East Valley Dial-A-Ride) is available to Scottsdale residents who are ADA certified through Valley Metro. This curb-to-curb or door-to-door shared-ride service requires 24 hour advance reservation. The service offers unlimited monthly trips at a cost of $4.00 per trip.
