Vista del Camino Community Center

Vista del Camino provides a variety of services to Scottsdale residents by helping to meet the basic needs of individuals and families in crisis, relieve economic stress and assist individuals to maintain self-sufficiency.

Food Bank

Donations can be dropped off during normal business hours.

Monetary donations can be made to Concerned Citizens for Community Health (CCCH), and mailed to Vista’s address or made online links to external site. Donations to CCCH, a qualifying charity under tax code 501(c)3, are tax deductible.

Holiday Adopt-A-Family Program

With your generous donations, Vista del Camino Center and Scottsdale Community Partners help up to 250 families in need have a brighter holiday season each year through our Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program. This program matches income-eligible families with sponsors who provide food and gifts for the Holidays. Help support a family in need.

Career Center and Job Preparation Program

The Vista/Paiute Career Center provides free job readiness assistance to individuals seeking employment for all levels The center has:

  • experienced staff and volunteers
  • computers with internet access
  • individualized career guidance
  • recruiter visits
  • career assessments
  • mock interviews
  • workshops on resume writing
  • effective job searching and interviewing skills
  • career development presentations
  • fax, copying and telephone use

The Vista/Paiute Career Center is a service provided by the City of Scottsdale, Concerned Citizens for Community Health  and a partnership with the Maricopa County Workforce Connection.

Job Preparation Program

The Vista/Paiute Job Preparation Program provides resources and assists individuals in becoming self sufficient through case management, referrals, workshops and career center services. The program addresses education, life skills, and financial management issues.  This program is open to all Scottsdale residents.

Back to School Program

We are looking for volunteers for this year's Back to School event on July 25. You can find more details and sign up for a shift right here.links to external site  

The Back-to-School Program provides essential school supplies, backpacks, clothing and shoes to up to 1,000 Scottsdale-based, Kindergarten through 12th grade, income-eligible students at an event at Scottsdale Stadium in July. A broad partnership of city, school, civic, faith and business organizations collaborate on this program that equips students for school success. Click here for highlights on the 2017 program.

Hydration Station

Each year during May through September Vista del Camino serves as a water hydration station.

The station’s purpose is to protect the vulnerable, especially the homeless, during summer heat by providing sites where they can get free bottled water, sunscreen wipes, lip balm and hats.

Scottsdale Healthcare partners with the city to provide the supplies, plus information on the dangers of extreme heat. The public can donate water or other items, including light-colored T-shirts, sunblock, socks and underwear, hats and pre-packaged snack items.

Alli Ortega Empty Bowls 

The 2018 Alli Ortega Empty Bowls will be held at Scottsdale Community College on November 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Empty Bowls are being sold for $10 each. A bowl of pasta is included with your purchase from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The City of Scottsdale's Mayor Jim Lane will open the ceremony at 12 p.m., along with other community partners, followed by a special presentation by Alli Ortega's father, David Ortega. If you are unable to make the event, donations are being accepted at All proceeds benefit Vista del Camino Center.
