Scottsdale Police reports are available from the Police Records Section, located at the East end of the Police/Fire headquarters (Lou Witzeman Public Safety Building).

Phone Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Lobby Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • Friday - Sunday: Closed

Filled requests are typically sent via secure email. Call Records to have your request available for pick up and/or to schedule an appointment.
Note: Requests are prioritized in various manners; requests from victims and government entities take priority. General inquiries for documents have a current backlog of 8-10 months. Requests for on-body camera footage currently have a 12–14-month backlog. Information will be updated as needed.

Government backgrounds should be submitted to [email protected] and should include your ORI #. Requests that are not for Government agencies will not be processed via email.

To obtain a copy of a Collision Report online

The Scottsdale Police Department has partnered with BUYCRASH, LLC to provide our collision reports online for convenience and secure access. You will need the date of collision, the departmental report number (DR#) and a valid credit card to access your report for a quick and easy download. BuyCrash.com links to external site

To obtain a Record of Search for personal criminal history

  • A written request form must be completed in person during the above hours of operation
  • A current Photo ID, such as a Driver's License or Passport is required
  • COST: $10.00 per search
  • The Record of Search is for City of Scottsdale jurisdiction ONLY

Fingerprinting Services

As of Jan. 1, 2011, the Scottsdale Police Department no longer offers fingerprinting services. You may try the ADOT websitelinks to external site.
