Join the Scottsdale community in thanking Vietnam veterans March 29

A free lunchtime event to honor and thank Vietnam veterans will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 29 – National Vietnam Veterans Day – at the Scottsdale Civic Center East Bowl.

The event includes complimentary lunch for registered guests, a display of classic vehicles from the 1960s and 1970s, a special guest speaker from the Veterans Heritage Project, and information from HonorHealth about their combat medic training program.

Most importantly, the event is an opportunity for the community to meet Vietnam veterans and learn about their stories of service and sacrifice. This event is hosted by the Scottsdale Veterans Advisory Commission.

  • Note: we have reached capacity for the complimentary lunch, and registration is closed - the public is still welcome to attend, but lunch will only be available for registered participants.

Vietnam veteran lapel pins will be provided for all who served in the armed forces during the Vietnam era, courtesy of the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration. Special pins for those who lost a family member are also available, along with materials everyone can use to express their support for Vietnam veterans.

The United States Congress established the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War and to thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War and their families for their service and sacrifice. The city of Scottsdale is a proud member of this program. Learn more at VietnamWar50th.com.
