Amended Notice of Public Hearing FY 2019/20 Substantial Amendment to the Annual Action Plan

The City of Scottsdale will hold a public hearing November 16, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Scottsdale City Hall Kiva Forum, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd, Scottsdale AZ, 85251 to obtain citizen input and comment on its Fiscal Year 2019/20 Substantial Amendment to the Annual Action Plan and the 2020/2024 Consolidated Action Plan. The formal comment process commenced October 11, 2021 and will now end November 25, 2021.

The Annual Action Plan includes an Application for Federal Assistance to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for FY 2019/20. Written comments should be addressed to City of Scottsdale, Community Assistance Office, 6535 E. Osborn Rd. – Building 8, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. The Annual Action Plan and the City of Scottsdale Annual Community Assessment report for Program Year 2019 (July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020) from HUD dated March 16, 2021 are available for review at the Community Assistance Office and the Scottsdale libraries. Those interested in receiving a copy of the Annual Action Plan and/or the Annual Community Assessment and Consolidated Plan t may do so by contacting Mary Witkofski, Community Development Supervisor at [email protected] or 480-312-2479. These documents may be made available in alternate formats upon request.  

The purpose of amending the plan is to enable the City of Scottsdale to allocate up to $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV1) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) made available through the CARES Act for a newly proposed project. The proposal is to use these funds towards a Housing Market & Affordability Study.

Citizens may comment on any aspect of the Annual Action Plan, the Consolidated Action Plan and/or the City’s performance in addressing housing and community development needs.
