Scheduled to start around July 28 and continue through approximately Sept. 11, the project will extend the life of the city’s underground sewer infrastructure without disrupting essential services.
The work will focus on a 36-inch sewer pipe beneath East Via Linda. Crews will clean the interior of the pipe and remove any accumulated deposits before installing a cured-in-place lining — a trenchless method designed to reinforce the pipe without the need for full excavation. In addition, the project will include the rehabilitation of nearby sewer manhole frames and covers to help prevent future blockages and eliminate potential roadway hazards.
While the project is underway, motorists can expect daytime traffic diversions and overnight road closures in the affected stretch of Via Linda. The city has provided detailed maps outlining where the work will take place and the anticipated timeline for traffic disruptions. Importantly, there will be no interruption to water or sewer service during the project, as a bypass system will keep sewer lines operational throughout construction.
