HEADLINE NEWS
Scottsdale's organization: experienced leaders focused on service and efficiency. Scottsdale City Manager Greg Caton has implemented a series of organizational changes designed to streamline operations, improve internal coordination, and keep senior leadership more connected to day-to-day service delivery and top city priorities.
The city's organizational structure builds on the depth of experience within the city's leadership team, who are seasoned professionals with decades of public service and a broad range of expertise across municipal functions. The team also includes a bevy of "home grown" talent, people who began their careers with Scottsdale and have advanced through the ranks while building an incredible foundation of knowledge and experience in Scottsdale.
Scottsdale wins big at 2025 Arizona Travel Awards. The city of Scottsdale has been honored with three prestigious 2025 Arizona Travel Awards, highlighting the city's commitment to creating memorable visitor experiences and celebrating local culture.
Announced in the July/August “Best of the Valley” issue of PHOENIX magazine, Scottsdale was recognized in the following categories:
- Best Statewide Community Event for Scottsdazzle
- Best Big Market Destination Marketing Campaign for June Days
- Best Big Market Under-the-Radar Activity for the Arizona Indigenous Culinary Experience

Tourism is a major economic driver for Scottsdale, generating nearly $74 million in local tax revenue annually. Signature events like Scottsdazzle and Western Week attract more than 30,000 visitors to Old Town, while June Days activates the area during slower travel months, partnering with more than 50 local merchants to host over 100 summer events.
