Scottsdale seeks input on Brown Avenue Parking Structure designs

The city of Scottsdale is inviting residents to review and comment on design options for the Brown Avenue Parking Structure Expansion at a public meeting set for 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Civic Center Library Auditorium, 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd.

This project will expand the existing city-owned parking structure at 1st Street and Brown Avenue by adding two additional levels of parking. Design work will continue through the end of 2025, with construction anticipated to begin in summer 2026.

The upcoming public meeting follows an initial community outreach session held in May, where residents and stakeholders shared priorities for the upgraded facility. That feedback guided the preliminary floor plans and exterior concepts, which will be unveiled and discussed at the meeting. Following the meeting, all concepts will be available for review and comment on the city’s project webpage.

Voters approved funding to provide additional parking facilities in Old Town as part of the 2019 Bond election. On Jan. 28, the City Council approved a Design Build Manager of Chasse Building Team to design and build the garage expansion at this location.
