Scottsdale Fire Station 606 renovation to begin in 2026; Emergency service will continue uninterrupted
Renovation of Scottsdale Fire Station 606, located near Via Linda and 108th Street, will begin in January 2026. Emergency response in the area will continue without interruption during construction.
To maintain service, Fire Station 606 crews relocated last week to a nearby temporary facility about a half mile from the current station. Through a partnership with Scottsdale Unified School District, firefighters will operate from the former Noah building near Miracle League Field and Cholla Park, allowing crews to remain close to the neighborhoods they serve.
“The safety of our community is always our top priority,” Fire Chief Tom Shannon said. “By relocating our crews nearby, we can continue providing the same fast, reliable emergency response residents expect while we make important improvements to this station.”
The $7.2 million project is expected to take about one year to complete. Built in 1985, Fire Station 606 is due for upgrades to better support modern operations and accessibility standards.
When finished, the renovated station will be fully accessible and better equipped to serve the community, including the ability to house an ambulance.
Fire Station 606 is staffed by a four-person crew of EMTs and paramedics who provide all-hazards emergency response, consistent with fire engine companies across Scottsdale.
