Spring into water savings with free conservation workshops

This spring, the city of Scottsdale is inviting residents to transform their yards, lower their water bills and make a lasting impact on the desert environment through its popular Springtime Water Conservation Workshops.

Hosted by Scottsdale Water, these free, expert-led workshops are designed to give residents the tools and confidence to create beautiful, water-efficient landscapes perfectly suited for the Sonoran Desert.

With as much as 65–70% of residential water use occurring outdoors, these workshops focus on practical, high-impact strategies that make a difference right at home.

What you’ll learn
Participants will gain hands-on knowledge and take-home tips, including:

  • Smart irrigation practices to reduce water waste
  • How to select low-water-use and desert-adapted plants
  • Landscape design techniques for efficiency and curb appeal
  • Seasonal maintenance tips to keep landscapes thriving year-round

Water conservation is a top priority in Scottsdale, where protecting long-term water supplies is essential to sustaining the community and economy. City programs like these workshops help residents save water, reduce utility costs and contribute to a more resilient future.
