2024 Twilight Tattoo – The U.S. Army’s Twilight Tattoo is an action-packed live military event featuring Soldiers from the U.S. Army Military District of Washington’s ceremonial units, the rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own." 2026 State of the City Address – Mayor Lisa Borowsky's annual State of the City Address was hosted by the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Jan. 22. Saturdays at 2:30, 7:30 and 11:30 a.m.; 3:30, 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.
Arizona Wildlife Views – This Emmy winning program takes you across Arizona to explore all the great recreational and wildlife opportunities the Grand Canyon state has to offer. Daily at 4:30 and 9:30 a.m.; 1:30, 5:30, 8:30 and 11:30 p.m.
Founders Day Celebration – This event honors Scottsdale’s founder, Chaplain Winfield Scott, and his wife Helen, highlighting their legacy as the community’s first equestrians. Thursdays at 3 and 8 a.m.; noon, 4, 7 and 10 p.m.
The Great Desert Escape – The largest escape of prisoners of war in North America during World War II happened right here in Scottsdale. Join historian and author Keith Warren Lloyd as he explores the factors leading up to the escape, the escape itself and the aftermath. Tuesdays at 3 and 8 a.m.; noon, 4, 7 and 10 p.m.
Grow Strong & Healthy Trees in the Desert – Learn how to select and know where and when to plant your desert tree so you can grow strong and healthy trees. Tuesdays at 2:30, 7:30 and 11:30 a.m.; 3:30, 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.
Honoring Preserve Pioneers – On Oct. 3, 1994, the Scottsdale City Council took a historic step when it passed Resolution No. 4103, formally establishing the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Charlie recalls the drive to bring baseball spring training in Scottsdale starting in 1956.
