Scottsdale seeks residents to serve on city boards and commissions
Scottsdale residents looking to make a difference in their community are invited to apply for open positions on several of the city’s volunteer boards and commissions.
These citizen-led groups play an important role in shaping local policies, studying community issues and providing recommendations to the Scottsdale City Council. Their work helps guide key decisions on everything from neighborhood livability to city finances and development.
There are currently five openings across four public bodies, including:
- Board of Adjustment (one opening)
- Building Advisory Board of Appeals (one opening)
- Loss Trust Fund Board (two openings)
- Neighborhood Advisory Commission (one opening)
Applications are due Friday, Nov. 7, and can be submitted online at ScottsdaleAZ.gov, search “Boards and Commissions.” Details about each board’s responsibilities and meeting schedules are also available online.
All applications remain active for one year. After review, the City Council will nominate candidates for interviews and make appointments in December. Those selected will complete required training and agree to follow the city’s Ethics Code before officially beginning their terms.
Serving on a board or commission is a meaningful way to contribute to Scottsdale’s success. Apply today and help shape the future of your community.
