Scottsdale announces matching marketing funding program for Old Town businesses
The city of Scottsdale’s Tourism & Events Department (TED) has announced a Matching Marketing Program in which dollar-for-dollar funding may be available to Old Town Scottsdale businesses for tourism marketing purposes.
Under the program, TED will award up to $5,000 to each approved applicant to support leisure tourism marketing efforts in Old Town Scottsdale. This program is part of the city’s broader effort to increase visitation and support local businesses through targeted Old Town marketing initiatives.
Eligible applicants must be a business located in Old Town or an association of businesses in Old Town. Businesses may apply individually or jointly to conduct a shared marketing campaign. Individual businesses are eligible for up to $5,000 in funding, with joint applications by multiple business eligible for a maximum award of $20,000 for a collaborative campaign.
Funds may be used for a single marketing initiative or in combination with other marketing initiatives. Examples of eligible uses of matching funds include traditional advertising, social media advertising, digital marketing, outdoor advertising or printing/mailing costs for promotional materials.
“The city of Scottsdale is proud to support our local economy by offering this opportunity to Old Town businesses,” said City Manager Greg Caton. “By contributing dollar-for-dollar matching funds to Old Town businesses, we can help them maximize their marketing investment and increase promotional opportunities.”
