Scottsdale Airport invites community input on Master Plan Update
FAA approval of forecast section clears path for next phase
Scottsdale Airport will host a public workshop to share the next round of sections on its Master Plan -- a long-term planning document that guides future development and ensures the airport continues to serve the community safely and efficiently.
The open house takes place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Signature Aviation (SA) Private Hangars, 15003 N. Airport Drive, second floor. Attendees can learn about proposed facility improvements and provide input on airside and landside development alternatives. No RSVP is required – drop in anytime. Airport staff and project consultants will be available to answer questions and gather feedback.
The Federal Aviation Administration recently approved the Aviation Forecast section of the Master Plan Update, a key milestone that allows planners to evaluate how well the airport’s current facilities can accommodate projected growth. The forecast outlines activity benchmarks that will help determine when upgrades or new infrastructure may be needed to meet future demand.
“The master plan is our blueprint for managing growth responsibly and ensuring the airport continues to serve the community safely and efficiently,” City Manager Greg Caton said. “The forecast gives us valuable insight into how the airport may evolve in the coming years and helps guide discussions about future improvements.”
