City hosts first-ever Citizen’s Prosecution Academy
The City Attorney’s Office debuted its inaugural Citizen’s Prosecution Academy on April 25 at Scottsdale City Court.
The event offered attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the Prosecution Division’s operations, including two mock trials — one focused on domestic violence and the other on driving under the influence. The academy emphasized the division’s core mission to pursue justice, protect the community and support victims.
Among the attendees were Vice Mayor Jan Dubauskas, Councilwoman Maryann McAllen, Presiding Judge Marianne Bayardi and City Attorney Sherry Scott, along with many engaged community members.
