Scottsdale seeks residents to serve on city boards and commissions

Looking for a way to get involved and help shape Scottsdale’s future? The city of Scottsdale is seeking residents to apply for openings on several advisory boards, commissions and committees. These volunteer positions provide an opportunity to share expertise, offer recommendations and help guide important community decisions.

Current openings are available on the:

  • Board of Adjustment (1 opening)
  • Building Advisory Board of Appeals (1 opening)
  • Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (1 opening)
  • Historic Preservation Commission (1 opening)
  • Loss Trust Fund Board (1 opening)

Scottsdale’s boards and commissions play an important role in the city’s decision-making process by providing valuable insight and community perspective to the City Council.

Interested residents must submit an online application by Friday, May 29. Information about each board, including responsibilities and qualifications, is available at ScottsdaleAZ.gov, search “Boards and Commissions.”

Applications remain active for one year. Following the application review process, City Council will nominate candidates for interviews and appoint new members in June. Selected applicants must complete board training and comply with the city’s Ethics Code before beginning service.

Residents interested in making a difference in their community are encouraged to apply.
