Commercial Leases Exemption:
As of July 1st, 2013, income derived from commercial leases between two businesses with at least 80% common ownership is exempt from transaction privilege tax. This applies to leases between affiliated companies, businesses, persons, or reciprocal insurers if the lessor holds a controlling interest in the lessee or vice versa. If you have any questions concerning this exemption, please call the Tax and License office at 480-312-2400. To claim the affiliated entities exemption, please fill out the Claim of Exemption Form (PDF) and return it as noted.
Eligibility for License:
Under Arizona Revised Statute 41-1080, you may be required to produce documentation of your legal right to work in the United States. If you are an individual applying for a license or permit, you must fill out and sign the Licensing Eligibility Checklist (PDF) and submit it along with your application. The required documents must be presented in person or if sending by mail, please call 480-312-2400 for further instructions.
How do I renew my license?
