Your Scottsdale Fire Department is a full service professional organization. Our highly trained personnel provide a wide variety of services to meet the needs of our residents and visitors.

All Scottsdale fire engine and ladders are staffed with skilled emergency medical technicians and paramedics who provide advanced life support skills and fight fires. Their training and expertise results in the fire department providing quality and  costefficient services to our community.

Specialty teams also allow the Scottsdale Fire Department to deal with hazardous materials emergencies, provide technical rescues to individuals trapped in swift water, confined spaces or in mountain locations, and battle aircraft fires.

Beyond providing emergency services, the Scottsdale Fire Department works to prevent future fires and accidents. Our responsibilities range from fire code enforcement, arson investigations, fire prevention activities, to fire and life safety education programs for children, families, and seniors.

Scottsdale has 14 fire stations (with more planned for the future), 13 Engine Companies, 3 Ladder Companies, 4 Brush Trucks, 1 Hazardous Material Response Vehicle and more. Scottsdale Fire employs approximately 260 people, of which, almost 240 are firefighters.

You are welcome to visit any of the Scottsdale fire stations from 8 am - 5 pm, any day of the week. You can stop in and meet the firefighters, get your blood pressure checked or get safety information. Fire stations are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Remember, the firefighters may not be in the station because they are out assisting a citizen with an emergency.
