Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

The City of Scottsdale receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  CDBG funds are provided on a formula basis to entitlement communities to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing, suitable living environments and/or by expanding economic opportunities, primarily for low and moderate income persons.

The Community Assistance Office (CAO) works with the Human Services Commission and City Council to allocate CDBG funds on an annual basis.

HOME Program

The HOME Program is funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Habitat for Humanity

The City of Scottsdale has a contract with Habitat for Humanity for Fiscal Year 2015/2016 that will help provide assistance to qualified low-to-moderate income homeowners in the Scottsdale area with the reconstruction of their home with a zero percent interest mortgage.
