Storm Watchers Wanted!Do you love weather? Be a National Weather Service Storm Spotter! At this special Skywarn class you will learn the ins and outs of thunderstorms, microbursts and tornadoes. Your "ground truth" ties in with the information gathered by sophisticated technology so the NWS can release warnings and advisories. Pre-Registration is required for this free class, so sign up today! Emergency Notifications Available by Cell PhoneWhen emergencies happen in your neighborhood, public safety agencies can use the 911 database to call your home to let you know the nature of the emergency and what to do. Now, you can register your cell phone or voice-over IP (VoIP) system to receive such emergency notifications.
