SAFE DRUG DISPOSAL PROGRAM
Scottsdale Police & Fire Departments offer drop-off locations for prescription drugs at 3 SPD District stations.  The disposal locations do NOT accept needles, thermometers, hydrogen peroxide, inhalers, aerosol cans and meds from businesses. 

Times available: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday:
D1 McKellips District - 7601 E McKellips
D3 Via Linda District - 9065 E. Via Linda
D4 Foothills District - 20363 N. Pima Road

DOCUMENT SHREDDING ONSITE EVENTS 
- Walmart parking lot, Frank Lloyd Wright & the 101.  Bring in your personal and business documents for shredding onsite.  A suggested donation of $3 per paper bag full, you can still bring your paper in boxes but the paper bags makes it easier for us to unload.  Donations will go directly to the Shop with A Cop events and other children's programs. 

Times:  7 am - 10 am
Venue:  Walmart parking lot

Document Shredding & Drug Disposal Event - Saturday, October 11, 2014
In partnership with Shred It USA, the police department presents an Onsite Document Shredding & Drug Disposal Event.  Event takes place at the Police District 1 Station, 7601 E McKellips Road (off Miller) in Scottsdale, AZ 85251. 8:00 am to 11:00 am or until the truck is full. 

A $2 suggested cash donation per box of shredded material. Proceeds will benefit Family Promise of Greater Phoenix. 

Information on Drug Disposal - please empty pills into a plastic or ziplock bag; liquids and gels can remain in their original containers with personal information removed.  Used syringes must be secured in an approved sharps container. Unused syringes (in their original packaging) and empty prescription bottles (with personal information removed) will be accepted and donated to rescue veterinary clinics.

SECURITY SURVEYS
The Scottsdale Police Crime Prevention Unit provides free security surveys to local residents and businesses.  A crime prevention officer can come to your location to check your place for security breaches.  Contact your local Crime Prevention Officer for an appointment.
