Scottsdale Airport Jet New customs service expands Scottsdale Airport’s international appeal
A new U.S. Customs and Border Protection program will expand Scottsdale Airport as an international destination for visitors and business travelers. While customs services were already available, international arrivals and departures were limited to specific countries.  Read full story.
 
Flying plane Scottsdale Airport Environmental Assessment In Process
The City of Scottsdale is conducting an Environmental Assessment to determine the long term viability of strengthening the Scottsdale Airport runway to support heavier aircraft.  This study will also provide the general public with the opportunity to learn about the overall process and to provide their input.

The Federal Aviation Administration has approved the Aviation Activity Forecasts for Scottsdale Airport.  The forecasts can be viewed by clicking on the link above.
 
Customs Change Makes Airport More Convenient 2011 Scottsdale Airport Regulatory Rewrite 
Revised Draft Documents Ready For Review and 2nd Workshop Scheduled on Monday, May 23, 2011

 Overnight Runway Closure Schedule 
The overnight runway closures for the Runway Safety Area Improvements Project have started.  In order to construct the new A4 taxiway and install additional taxiway guidance signs, we are closing the runway at night from 9 P.M. to 6 A.M., Sunday through Thursday nights starting May 1st to May 26th.  There will be a total of 20 night closures during this timeframe.  The runway will NOT be closed on Friday or Saturday nights during this timeframe.

Scottsdale Airport Rolls Out New Logo
The new logo features a more modern, approachable and identifiable design, as well as flexibility for a variety of uses.  Just above the airport name is a design that represents the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and an aircraft taking flight.  The colors of the mountains symbolize the colors of the desert landscape within the Preserve.  Although the airport’s look has changed, you can rest assured our dedication to our customers and communities will remain! 

Tour the Scottsdale Airport Experience Scottsdale Airport!
Our "Kid Tours" offer an interactive experience for children ages 5 and up!  Get up-close and personal with a tour of the airport.  Seasonal tours are available to groups of six or more from October 15th through May 15th.  To schedule a tour, contact Ken Goucher.
