Youth Ambassadors

Summer 2021: Due to COVID-19 precautions and PPE limitations, all teen volunteer programs are suspended.  Volunteer management will continue to assess the situation and will contact you about enrolling in the Year-Round Youth Corps program once it is deemed safe to do so.  Safety of Youth Corps/Youth Ambassadors volunteers is paramount and we thank you for your patience and understanding with the matter.  Please continue to check the Youth Corps website for updates and we look forward to speaking with you soon.

This leadership training program is ideal for teens ages 12-13 who would like to become future recreation leaders and provide assistance to the City of Scottsdale’s summer youth programs. Youth Ambassadors receive on-the-job learning experiences, attend staff trainings, and participate in weekly leadership development trainings. Due to limited space in the program, participants must make a commitment for the entire program session (ex: June 1st to July 24th). A mandatory “in-service to others training” is typically held in May.

Program Benefits
