Drinkwater Boulevard closed indefinitely for repairs to Civic Center Mall bridge
Drinkwater Boulevard will remain closed indefinitely to all traffic from Second Street to First Avenue to permit repairs to the Civic Center Mall bridge. Detour on Scottsdale or Miller roads from Osborn Road to Indian School Road. The Civic Center Mall Bridge will also be closed to all pedestrian traffic. More information about the repair project timeline will be available soon.
68th Street bridge and Arizona Canal Path remain restricted
The inside lanes in both directions on 68th Street bridge (crossing the Arizona Canal immediately north of Indian School Road) are closed due to deterioration discovered during a routine inspection. Inspections, design and repair work will take 10 to 12 months to complete. The Arizona Canal Path reconstruction will be coordinated with the bridge repair. The path will remain closed from 68th Street to Goldwater Boulevard. Detour on the north side of the canal. Please visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov and search “68th Street Bridge” for more information.
Nighttime restrictions continue on Shea Boulevard for APS power line installation
Arizona Public Service (APS) will be installing a power line along Shea Boulevard from 90th Street to immediately east of Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard. Lane restrictions will typically include the eastbound curb lane from immediately west of 90th Street to 92nd Street and two eastbound lanes from 92nd Street to 118th Street in half-mile increments. All work will take place between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights until late spring when work will require and additional closure of one eastbound lane during daytime hours.
