87th Street and Thomas Road Intersection Improvements
The Scottsdale Transportation and Streets Department is currently considering eliminating left turns at 87th Street and Thomas Road intersection. Traffic accidents associated with left turns at 87th Street and Thomas Road have been documented, and residents in the surrounding community have asked the city to address the issue.
The city is proposing to eliminate left turns by restriping the intersection and posting “No Left Turn” signs as shown in the graphic below.
