Aquatics Volunteers
Junior Lifeguards
This program will return for the Summer of 2024 and is designed to guide youth ages 13-15 into Lifeguard Training by building a foundation of skills, attitudes and knowledge. Areas of focus are prevention, fitness, response, leadership, and professionalism. Participants get the opportunity to volunteer with our swim lessons and water park/public swim times as well as being a part of the Aquatic team during the summer.
Program Prerequisites:
- Must be 13 to 15 years old
- Swim 100 yards freestyle continuously
- Tread water for 1 minute
- Retrieve a 10 pound diving brick from the deep end of the pool
The Jr. Lifeguard program will certify the
participants as a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard if all minimum qualifications are met. To complete the course, a minimum of 50 volunteer hours is required between June 10 and July 27, and participants must be 15 years old by July 27 in order to be eligible for a Lifeguard certification.

Fees:
$87 Resident / $130 Non-Resident
