What you need to know about flying drones in Scottsdale Parks

Drones (small, un-manned model aircraft) are welcome in Scottsdale parks, however there are some rules you should be aware of before you fly.

Flying drones is not allowed in the following areas:

  • Mescal Park
  • Stonegate Park
  • Westworld
  • McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
  • Pinnacle Peak Park
  • McDowell Sonoran Preserve (per Ord. 4276)

Drones also can't be flown within 5 miles of the Scottsdale Airport, per FAA Regulations. (See Scottsdale Airport's Scottsdale Airport' page for more details.)

We hope you enjoy flying your drone in Scottsdale, and if you have any questions please call us at 480-312-PARK (7275).
