Third FBO at Scottsdale Airport in the works

There are plans for a third fixed-base operator (FBO) to join Signature Flight Support and Ross Aviation at Scottsdale Airport.

Southwest Jet CenterJet Center at Santa Fe has officially assumed a long-term lease agreement between Murphy Ventures and City of Scottsdale with the intention of opening and operating a third FBO at Scottsdale Airport. The lease is for 14-acres of land that includes the Air Commerce Center, Greenway Hangars and city T-shades properties.

The owners of Jet Center at Santa Fe, Herb Marchman, Ron Tarrson, Troy Padilla and John Marchman have several years of experience owning and operating FBOs in major markets in the U.S. They are a familiar name at the Scottsdale Airport as the developers/owners of the former Scottsdale Air Center, which is now Signature Flight Support.

Herb Marchman says, “Our plans are to develop a world-class FBO – Scottsdale Jet Center -- adjacent to the Air Commerce Center building.”

The project includes building a 10,000-sq. ft. building and 30,000-sq. ft. hangar which is expected to break ground next summer and be completed in mid-2020.

For questions or more information about this new venture, contact Troy Padilla, 505-577-1698, or visit Laura Hunter at the Air Commerce Center, suite 200.
