The city seeks additional input on Old Town Scottsdale Character Area Plan & Zoning Ordinance updates

The city is in the process of updating the Old Town Scottsdale Character Area Plan as well as sections of the city’s Zoning Ordinance specific to the downtown area.

Based on direction from City Council, additional outreach is still needed – and we are asking for your input. The city is offering an online, self-guided, open house series that will enable you – as participant – to provide input on topics such as the Old Town Plan Vision and Values, quality development, mixed-use development, building height, bonus provisions, and public open space in Old Town. Each self-guided, online, open house session includes a presentation and questions for participants to answer that are specific to each topic. To participate in the update process, please visit ScottsdaleAZ.gov, keyword “Old Town Updates.”

As the Old Town Plan and Zoning Ordinance updates progress through the public participation and hearing processes, additional participation events will be offered, and draft content will be made available for public review. Please continue to stay engaged in the process using the Old Town Updates website.
