This week: Donate to Vista del Camino’s professional clothing drive through Friday. The Vista del Camino Career Closet assists local job seekers needing professional outfits, work clothes or shoes for interviews and/or office jobs. Gently used clothing for men and women in all sizes is appreciated, but plus sizes are especially needed. The Career Closet also accepts gently used bras, socks, belts, ties and shoes. New undergarments, cosmetics and toiletries are also wanted. Drop off your donations between 8 a.m.-4:45 p.m. weekdays at Vista del Camino Community Center, 7700 E. Roosevelt St.
COVID-19 UPDATE

Vaccines and boosters save lives, and we’re doing our part to help make testing and vaccinations more accessible. In partnership with Vincere Center Centers, the city is administering rapid COVID-19 testing for active infection (PCR and antigen), Influenza A+B tests and vaccinations by appointment at the following locations:

Testing 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays; vaccinations noon-4 p.m. Fridays by appointment only at Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road

Testing 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; vaccinations noon-4 p.m. by appointment only Wednesdays at Mustang Library, 10101 N. 90th St.
Testing is available to everyone, 3 years and older. PCR test results will be available by the end of the next business day via email. Antigen results will be available onsite. Appointments are required for vaccines and recommended for testing; walk-ups are accepted until 3 p.m.
Free vaccine events also will continue through March at community centers. We’re offering the Pfizer vaccine (5 and older), and the Janssen and Moderna (both for 18 and older) vaccines:

Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction runs through Jan. 30. It's the granddaddy of all car events. The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction returns to WestWorld bringing hundreds of the world's finest collector automobiles and thousands of spectators to Scottsdale. The auction also features an exhibitor marketplace and hours of live worldwide television coverage.
Western Week: Old Town Scottsdale transforms into an authentic Old West experience for the entire family. Connect with Old Town's history through Western and Native American festivals, art walks, the Hashknife Pony Express and the Parada del Sol. We will be spotlighting specific events closer to the week. Western Week runs Jan. 29-Feb. 6.
WW Spotlight – Western Week Farmer’s Market: During your visit to the Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market Saturday, Jan. 29, you can get into the Western spirit by enjoying a Wild West Show. Watch world champion showman Johnny Hotshot perform a rowdy, cowboy-style display of trick shooting (with safe "balloon buster" blanks), gun spinning, trick roping and whip cracking. Free and fun for all ages. Shows run at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 and 2 p.m.

The city’s Economic Development Department is launching Choose Scottsdale HUUB, a new small business platform that will be introduced during a 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, webinar. LAST DAY: Nominations close today for “All Star Awards.” Presented by Mayor David D. Ortega, the “All Star Awards” program highlights Scottsdale community members and organizations, that in 2021, received an award or honor, or participated in an exceptional, documented achievement. We will recognize winners at a special ceremony during the 68th annual Scottsdale Parada del Sol. Submit your nomination by Monday, Jan. 24.
