Spring training returns to Scottsdale Stadium. Catch the San Francisco Giants as Cactus League action resumes Saturday, Feb. 22, at the award-winning Scottsdale Stadium. Tickets are available at the stadium box office, by calling 1-877-473-4849 or at sfgiants.com

Celebrate Scottsdale's founder's birthday, Feb. 26. Scottsdale officials and historians Marshall Trimble and Joan Fudala will provide brief tributes to Scottsdale's founder and namesake, Chaplain Winfield Scott. The free, annual outdoor program will take place at noon in front of the Scottsdale Historical Museum

EVENTS

Get reel … the Greater Phoenix Jewish Film Festival continues through Feb. 23. This festival presents great cinema from all over the world with Jewish themes or universal stories through a Jewish lens. Movies play at various theaters throughout the Valley.

Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show trots to WestWorld through Feb. 23. Since 1955, this annual horse show has set the pace in the Arabian horse world. It has grown from 50 horses to more than 2,400 horses, bringing top owners, trainers and breeders from around the world competing for a chance to win.  

WestWorld hosts Sun Circuit Quarter Horse Show Feb. 29-March 8. Sun Circuit is not just a horse show … it's an equine extravaganza! While it's the largest AQHA circuit in the West, there is still a class for every exhibitor at every level.  

Sunday A'Fair minifestivals rock Sundays. Sunday A'Fair features free outdoor concerts by the Valley's top musicians, an arts-and-crafts market and fun activities for children and families. The concerts run from noon-4 p.m. most Sundays through March 29, on the Scottsdale Civic Center. 

Enjoy Scottsdale ArtWalk - an American original. From 7-9 p.m. every Thursday year-round, Old Town galleries open their doors to collector and casual patrons alike to enjoy featured artists, a cultural environment and refreshments.

Veg out at Old Town Scottsdale Farmers Market. Buy food and specialty items supplied by locals. There is a large variety of organic and pesticide-free produce, as well. The market runs from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays, through May, at 3806 N. Brown Ave.

The city needs landlords for Housing Choice program. The city partners with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to offer ongoing rental assistance to qualified Scottsdale residents. Meet with Scottsdale's housing agency employees to learn more about how you can become a landlord (PDF) for this program from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road. The program provides landlords guaranteed rent payments, flexible lease terms, tenants backgrounds checks and reduced liability issues. 

Scottsdale pools are open and heated year-round. Enjoy lap swimming or water exercise classes at one of three facilities: McDowell Mountain Ranch, Cactus or Eldorado. Get more information on facility locations and specific schedules.

Register now for the Spring 2020 session of Scottsdale Neighborhood College. Our 20th year of Neighborhood College continues with the spring session in the "Homeowners Association" tract or the "History of Scottsdale" tract. Attend one, two or as many classes as you want!
