The Scottsdale Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying two suspects from a commercial burglary and two separate arsons.
At 6:45 a.m., on March 26th, 2020, an unknown suspect(s) started fires at two separate residences in the area of 74th Pl and Cactus. Both fires were quickly put out by citizens who were nearby.
Witnesses reported seeing a suspect wearing a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt leaving one of the scenes on foot. The suspect then left the area in a newer gray Nissan Altima.
At approximately 7:00 a.m., the same suspect broke into the Diamond House jewelry store located at 9343 E Shea Blvd. The suspect smashed counter display cases and stole a large quantity of jewelry. Surveillance video behind the business shows the suspect getting into the same Nissan Altima being driven by a second suspect.
The 1st suspect is described as 5’6 to 6’0 tall, thin build, wearing a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt with white writing on the front, gray sweatpants with a blue stripe up the sides, and gray and white tennis shoes. No description is available for the 2nd suspect (driver) at this time.
