To help ease traffic congestion at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, rideshare services, such as Lyft and Uber, will be located at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Road. Continuously running buses will shuttle attendees between the tournament and WestWorld, about a five-minute ride. The buses will operate 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
When attendees open associated rideshare apps at the tournament, they will be directed to the shuttle buses at Bell Road, immediately east of the event entrance.
While rideshare customers arriving at the tournament can still choose to use the “Stop and Drop” location at the southeast corner of Hayden and Bell roads, the city is encouraging drop-offs at WestWorld, especially Wednesday during the Annexus Pro-Am and Friday through Sunday, the busiest days of the tournament.
“We expect the shuttle from WestWorld to be faster than using the ‘Stop and Drop,’” said Walt Brodzinski, right-of-way supervisor for the city of Scottsdale. “The shuttle will be able to avoid much of the traffic congestion near the tournament parking lots.”
