Old Town business charged for not complying with governor's executive order

An Old Town Scottsdale business was charged yesterday for violating for the Governor’s Executive Orders which are intended to control the spread of COVID-19 while allowing restaurants to remain open to the public.  Several other Old Town Scottsdale businesses are under investigation and may also be charged for similar violations.

Riot House is charged with failing to enforce their own safety and health policy, required under Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s Executive Orders. The Scottsdale Police Department observed staff and patrons at this establishment not practicing physical distancing, not wearing face coverings, and not complying with their plan.

Riot House has been charged with a class one misdemeanor in violation of A.R.S. Section 26-317.
