October 2020 Scottsdale Parks and Recreation Event Update

In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community, Scottsdale Parks and Recreation has made the difficult decision to cancel October 2020 events; including Fall Festival, McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park’s Railfair and Halloween Spook-Track-Ula.

Public health authorities are discouraging or prohibiting organized events of 50 people or more. In the meantime, Scottsdale will focus on experiences and programs where physical distancing and safety protocols can be properly enacted and enforced. The McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park is open for daytime visitors and our Parks and Recreation Department has a number of exciting fall programs available, that are following public health guidelines.

We understand these cancellations are disappointing, and this decision was not made easily. We are currently evaluating whether the Railroad Park’s annual Holiday Lights event can be held in December / January. Decisions regarding future events will be made and communicated in the coming months.
