Notice of Intent to Increase City Primary Property Tax Levy & Municipal Streetlight Improvement Districts Property Taxes

In accordance with A.R.S. § 9-499.15, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the council’s intention to consider whether to increase the city Primary Property Tax Levy and Municipal Streetlight Improvement Districts Property Taxes at a Regular Meeting of the Scottsdale City Council to be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 5 p.m., at Scottsdale City Hall Kiva Forum, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ.

The meeting will also be broadcast electronically through Cox Cable Channel 11 and streamed online at ScottsdaleAZ.gov (search “live stream”). It is the Council’s intention to consider whether to formally adopt the Property Tax levies and the Municipal Streetlight Improvement Districts levy by ordinance on June 25, 2024. These proposed levies were discussed in a formal public hearing at the June 4, 2024, City Council Meeting.  After adoption, these tax rates and levies will be effective for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.

A schedule of the proposed property tax rates and levies and the written report supporting the proposed possible increase in the primary property tax, and the schedule and written report supporting the proposed increased tax levies for the Municipal Streetlight Improvement Districts were posted on the City’s website on April 26, 2024, and are available on the city’s website.
