Mayor declares July 2021 ‘Phoenix Suns Month’ in Scottsdale

The Phoenix Suns are headed to the NBA finals for the first time since 1993 and the third time in their history. Mayor David D. Ortega honors and supports the team by proclaiming the month of July 2021 as “Phoenix Suns Month” in Scottsdale.

“This season, the Suns have helped to increase community spirit and pride as we galvanize around their hard-fought bid to be basketball’s next world champions,” said Mayor Ortega. “I encourage everyone to Rally the Valley for our Suns as they battle to bring the trophy home.”

For 53 years the Suns have remained a professional sport staple in the Phoenix metro region and have also made an impact in the community with their philanthropy off the court.
