Help make Scottsdale even more bike friendly

bike symbol on Scottsdale bike lanesLet's make Scottsdale even more bike friendly!

With 174 miles of bike lanes and 129 miles of paved shared use paths, Scottsdale is one of only 39 communities nationwide rated Gold level or higher by the League of American Bicyclists for its bicycle friendliness. Gold, schmold. We want platinum!

The Transportation Department is hosting a pair of meetings so you can share your thoughts on how we can achieve this community goal.

The first meeting is from 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at the Community Design Studio, 7506 E. Indian School Road; the second is from 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Mustang Library, 10101 N. 90th St.

The award status lasts for four years, and Scottsdale must reapply this year.

Come learn more about our biking projects and programs and the application process for bicycle friendly status, and provide input on how you feel Scottsdale can become even more bike friendly.
