Public Notice - GOHS contract #2021-405d-053 grant

Public Notice - Earlier this year, the Scottsdale City Attorney’s Office - Prosecution Division was awarded a $75,000 grant from federal funds allocated to the State of Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) under GOHS Contract #2021-405d-053 for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2021. The grant will support Personnel Services and Employee Related Expenses to enhance the Arizona Traffic Safety Resource Program (TSRP) throughout the State of Arizona by funding a portion of a prosecutor position within the City Attorney’s Office to provide TSRP services.  The Arizona TSRP is a valued resource provided by GOHS for Arizona law enforcement, prosecutors and other traffic professionals, for information and assistance regarding the laws of impaired driving, enforcement issues, and case preparation and strategy. With support from GOHS, the TSRP program will provide education and assist with traffic safety  issues for law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and crime labs across Arizona throughout the contract period. This funding will help continue the TSRP program throughout FFY 2021.  Contact:  Luis Santaella, Deputy City Attorney (480)312-2405.
