Dec. 6 Green Building topic: "Future Proofing and Preparing for the Electric Utility of the Future"
Attend the next Green Building Lecture Series to learn about technological advancements and falling prices in renewable energy technology, battery storage, sensors and control systems in the transformation of the energy industry and how buildings will interact with the electric grid.
This free program will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at the Granite Reef Senior Center, 1700 N. Granite Reef Road. RSVPs are not needed.
Renewable energy coupled with energy efficiency provides multiple benefits including distributing energy, lowering energy costs and reducing the need to build more electric power plants. Energy efficiency alone is among the most cost-effective ways to reduce carbon emissions, making it a part of fighting climate change.
Senior Energy Consultant and Project Manager Jeff Grout will be the keynote speaker. He has been working on energy efficiency projects with large commercial and industrial customers in Arizona for more than 10 years. As an active participant in the clean energy revolution, Grout's current dream is to see Arizona become the solar power leader in the country.
This lecture is one in a series that includes:
