CERT Registration 19-02

The Scottsdale Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) is for citizens who want to learn basic emergency response skills so they can better help their families, friends, neighbors and co-workers.

The CERT program trains the community in basic disaster prevention and response skills such as disaster preparedness, fire suppression, disaster medical operations, search and rescue, team organization and disaster psychology.

This six-week course culminates in a full-scale disaster simulation. Classes are hands-on, intensive, and designed to offer students decision making and practical skills needed to safely aid families, neighbors and coworkers in case of an emergency or disaster.

Class meets weekly on Thursday evenings beginning Oct. 10, from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. There is no class Oct. 31. Final Disaster Simulation and graduation is on Saturday morning Nov. 23.
