Water main rehab along E. Dove Valley Road
Project Information
Scottsdale Water is committed to delivering safe, reliable drinking water to its customers. To do this, the city invests in infrastructure projects to improve water quality and delivery, improve aging infrastructure, and increase safety and security of the city’s water system.
Scottsdale Water has identified a water main along E. Dove Valley Road as needing repair. To do this, E. Dove Valley Road will be under construction while teams work diligently to improve the overall system during Summer 2022. The project will extend from 56th St. to 67th St., temporarily closing E. Dove Valley Road at different sections during different periods.
What to Expect
Phase 1 - This phase will include a complete closure of E. Dove Valley Road from N 56th St. – N 60th St., including the west and south section of the roundabout at 60th St. Access will not be available to the Lone Mountain Community at N. 60th St. or the southern parking lots at Cactus Shadow High School. Local residents should plan accordingly for traffic detours and delays.
Phase 2 - Will consist of construction work along E. Dove Valley Road from N. 60th St. east to N. 67th St. One-lane road closures will be necessary at this time. Residents will need extra time to get to work/school during this phase. Construction crews will work to minimize driveway restrictions as much as possible, but some temporary closures will be necessary.
Timeline
Scottsdale Water recognizes the need for school access and hopes to have the majority of work in front of Cactus Shadows High School completed during summer break. The below dates are estimated:
- Phase 1 - May 23 – Aug. 1
- Phase 2 - Aug. 1 – Oct. 1
