Roosevelt Street - Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan
The City of Scottsdale Transportation Department has been working with residents on Roosevelt Street from Scottsdale Road to Miller Road to address speeding and cut through traffic concerns.
UPDATE
On July 16, 2009 construction funding for this project was approved by the Transportation Commission. Click here to view a copy of the presentation.
Residents circulated a petition to get support from the neighborhood, and gathered enough signatures to move forward with the project. A neighborhood meeting also was held on Thursday, June 25th to discuss the proposed project.
This proposed plan consists of:
- A roundabout at Roosevelt and 74th Street
- A raised median island east of Scottsdale Road
- A pair of raised side islands east of 72nd Place
- Stamped asphalt paving
