Youth SportsCity of Scottsdale Youth Sports offers afterschool sports for youth in grades 1-5. Basic FUNdamentals, positive peer interaction, and good sportsmanship are the foundation for all of our programs. Our programs are offered at all Scottsdale Public Schools, New Way, OLPH, and three Paradise Valley public schools.
We are now offering afterschool sports for youth in grades 1-3! Our coaches will work with your athletes in a non-competitive instructional environment that teaches the basic FUNdamentals of sports. Our athletes will practice twice a week immediately afterschool, following a basic Youth Sports curriculum to prepare each athlete to compete and improve. Athletes will learn the importance of stretching, cardiovascular health, and the basic fundamentals of each sport. All coaches are trained and certified through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.
The leagues are only for youth in grades 4-5. Participants play in a league format while representing their school. Practices are held two days per week on school grounds. Days are determined by the coach. Games are held on Saturday mornings. All coaches are trained and certified through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.
