STORM CLOSURE UPDATE
As of Friday Sept. 12, 8:30 a.m.

  • Unbridged crossings of the Indian Bend Wash are open -- continue to use caution, however, and do not cross areas with running water.
  • Both playgrounds at Eldorado Park are closed.
  • The sand volleyball courts at Eldorado and Vista del Camino Parks are closed.
  • Most ramadas, picnic areas, and 5k multiuse path at Eldorado Park are closed.
  • Some sports fields are reopening -- call 480-312-RAIN for specific field information.
    • Still Closed: Chaparral Park fields 1, 2, 4 & 6; Pima Elementary, Paiute Park soccer field, and Eldorado Park ballfields. Yavapai Elementary School's ballfield 2 is still too wet to play on. Ballfields 1 and 3 can still be utilized. 
  • The McDowell Sonoran Preserve is open with the exception of the Lost Dog Wash trailhead. Trails remain soggy. Muddy trails are vulnerable to damage by boots, hooves & tires. Please use caution.

The City of Scottsdale has a great selection of sports and recreation activities for your personal needs.  Walking, skating, jogging, fishing, baseball, volleyball, swimming, and a wide variety of leisure activities await the visitor.  The facilities where these activities are held also make great locations for corporate or social functions.  Pick the sport or activity that best fits your interests, we are sure you will not be disappointed!
