Scottsdale Family Resource Center

The Scottsdale Family Resource Center provides a variety of services to support families, parents, caregivers, expectant parents and their young children ages birth through age five (not yet in kindergarten). Located in South Scottsdale at the Paiute Neighborhood Center, the Family Resource Center offers guidance and support for families with young children by providing access to resources, referrals to support services, and access to educational programs to ensure healthy growth and development for Scottsdale’s youngest learners and their families as they grow and thrive together.

Family Resource Center Calendar of Events (PDF)

Interactive, play-based learning for children up to 5 years of age and their parents/caregivers. Each session features local professionals covering a variety of early childhood topics.
Stay and Play Weekly Experts include: Early Literacy Specialist, Nutritionist, Choosing Quality Child Care, Child Development Specialist, Local Resources for Parents and Caregivers, Water and Car Seat Safety.

Books Can...is a unique program based on Arizona's Infant & Toddler Guidelines and Arizona's Early Learning Standards that uses popular picture books, rhymes, songs and interactive activities to promote children's social and emotional development.

Class Duration: 6 week series

  • Mondays 10-10:45 a.m. (Nov. 13—Dec. 18)
  • Wednesdays 10-10:45 a.m. (Jan 17—Feb.21)
  • Tuesdays 10-10:45 a.m. (Apr. 24—May 29)

Explore math and science concepts in an interactive, playful way! Based on the Arizona Early Learning standards for math and science, this course explores concepts and introduces strategies to use with your child to help build and strengthen their mathematical and scientific thinking skills.

Free parenting workshop with Arizona's Children Association

This 10-session series includes discussions and parent activities, with parent-child interactive opportunities.
